2024 Equity for All Conference
The Mississippi Department of Education Office of Federal Programs will host its annual "All for Equity… Equity for ALL" conference on September 18-19, 2024, at the Jackson Convention Center, 105 E. Pascagoula St., Jackson, MS 39201. The conference's purpose is for participants to learn and share transformational programs and policies to improve equitable student outcomes and to develop a network of educators who will, over time, implement a plan within Mississippi's educational system that encompasses "Equity for ALL." We will have several required sessions for EL Coordinators, Homeless Coordinators, School Attendance Officers, and 21st CCLC Program Directors/Coordinators. We also recommend family and community engagement liaisons, foster care coordinators, JDCs, and other stakeholders involved in providing students instructional and support services.

EDGAR 101 Training
To increase state-level support for New Business Managers, Career and Technical Education Directors, Federal Programs Directors, and Special Education Directors, the Mississippi Department of Education will host an in-person work session focused on an Overview of EDGAR, scheduled for Tuesday, September 17, 2024, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, at the Jackson Convention Center, 105 E. Pascagoula Street, Jackson, MS 39201.

EL Combine
The Mississippi Department of Education Office of Federal Programs in coordination with the Division of Student Intervention Services will host a special EL Combine on Tuesday, September 17, 2024, 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., at the Jackson Convention Center, 105 E. Pascagoula Street, Jackson, MS 39201. The EL Combine is designed to provide instructional staff who work with English learners innovative and cutting-edge teaching techniques for the 21st Century student.
